Resource Central carries a mouse card (for $70) that you can use with
any serial mouse (of the type commonly used on IBM clones--you can
find serial mice starting at $10).

Kermit is available for the Apple II, but it doesn't support any
transfer protocols except Kermit...and outside the university/industry
world, Kermit isn't common at all.  ProTERM supports ANSI and VT-100
emulations (among others), XMODEM, YMODEM, YMODEM-G, and ZMODEM
transfers, and a bunch of other stuff...it runs about $75-$85,
depending on where you buy it.
