Modemworks 2.0 docs?

Hello everybodeeee!

    Does anyone know where i might find a copy of the documentation
for the old modemworks 2.0 software?  I just found a copy of it and
am trying to make a small dialout program for it.
Oh also, if anybody knows, how would i have a program dial a number
and check the modem 15-20 seconds later to see if it connected or if
it is still ringing?  A buddy of mine has a modem and we're trying to
get it connected and i am trying to get an automated dialer but don't
want to have it ring forever until it's working....
any suggestions?
