I'm sure this is wishful thinking, but is there any
chance that Apple will upadate the LaserWriter driver on
Sys. 6 to Level 2 when they (finally) update the Mac driver?
Also, I've encountered a problem that's driving me nuts.
After getting a Parallel/Buffer Pro card to use with my
DeskJet printer, and Harmonie for my drivers. I could not
get my setup to work. When I called Harmonie tech support,
they informed me that they "have more important things to
work on," since the Buffer Pro is incompatible with the Harmonie
Parallel Pro driver. Since the Buffer Pro is as old as Harmonie,
it's pretty suprising they haven't written a driver for it.
Anyone have any thoughts on a fix (besides renmoving my Buffer
Pro, which I use constantly for prodos 8)? Vitesse seems to
have dropped the ball on this one.
Finally, after purchasing several games from BRCC, I've been
trying to install them on my HD. Copy II+ only had a parm file
for one game, and the rest use the annoying key disk protection,
or manual checks. Has anyone written any parm entries themselves,
or put out some solutions on how to deprotect the games? I'm
obviously not asking this to pirate games, but to get these
darn things installed! Thanks for the help.
