Well, Morgan was looking for security (if I may speak for the guy :) and  
dealing directly with teh 8530 can lead to serious problems...it must have been  
tough enough to deal with ProDOS 8 and having to support the //e...I mean look  
at what Morgan had to work with!  Although, initially, I was not happy with the  
lower throughput, it was a drastic improvement on what we once had for ProLine  
and I can't fault Morgan for "doing the right thing"(tm) - as you can see, CTS  
integrity has been compromised by dealing directly w/ the 8530 -- the question  
still remains, however, whether or not the problem can be corrected while still  
dealing directly with the chip.
