    Try this uemacs proc on for size...

store-procedure compile-buffer
    save-file
    shell-command &cat &cat &cat "chtyp -lcc " $cfname " ; cmpl " $cfname
!endm

    Bind this to something convenient (keypad-* in my case) and all you
need to do is hit the key and away it goes.  Hit a key again and you're
right back in uemacs.
