system 7 mac as a gs file server

My wife and I have had both a gs and a mac ][ci at home for some time.  At
about the same time we lost hard drives on both systems.  Now it looks like
were going to put a larger drive in the mac.  Before we really consider
buying a drive for the gs I was wondering if the mac could be used to act as
a file server for the gs.

Any thoughts would be appreciated...
