Just to clarify (in case anyone goes googling in teh wrong direction),
the term "clamshell" only applies to the original G3 iBook, not the iMac
of the same era. This is to differentiate it from the later G3 iBooks
which, being square, diddn't resemble a clamshell very much... G3 iMacs
are generally referred to as either "slot-loading" (later models) and
"tray-loading" (earlier models which I think all lack firewire), based
on how the CD/DVD drive works.
