Since 1980 I've been using small Avery labels--*removable* labels, in
fact--and have never had any problems with them coming off when I didn't
want them to.  ;-)

The labels are #05432 (nice number!) and they are 7/8"x1-1/4", and I
apply them in the upper right corner of the disk.  That way they don't
conflict with any "brand" labels that are on the disks.

You can't write an essay on the label, but it's plenty big enough to
write a couple or three program names, plus the OS version at the
bottom.
