Sweet! Your IIe looks so clean!
I'll have to get some pics together as well. I ran the platinum I am
restoring through retrobright (liquid version - 3% hydrogen peroxide,
oxy-clean, 6 hours under black light) and it looks great! Now I just
need a matching Kensington system saver. I have two beige ones. Maybe
I'll paint one. Hah!
You actually have a IIe Vulcan?! I am so... jealous. I've been hunting
for one for a while. I have three IIgs Vulcan's with refurbed 105mb
drives. I think I killed one of the cards though. Anyhow, someone on
some board mentioned that there was no difference between the IIe and
IIgs Vulcan card except the ROM. Henry made me a IIe Vulcan ROM but it
didn't work (sigh). Although I have a suspicion it might actually have
been a IIgs ROM he made by accident.
Do you have any good pics of just the IIe Vulcan card by itself? That
would be a killer in helping me figure out if the cards are the same
with the difference only being the ROM. No where is it listed on these
cards themselves if they are IIgs or IIe. It just says Vulcan with a
Rev. It's only listed on the ROM.
Anyhow.. great stuff!
I'll get some pics together as soon as two cards arrive.
Best!
