No, both sides do not have valid arguments. Feedback is for aspects of the item and the seller's performance in conveying that item to the buyer -- it's not for stuff outside the transaction. Ramito didn't do anything wrong by soliciting advice here, and he performed on the transaction.

So, in the end, wasn't Buttholz's feedback *on that transaction* purely malicious and retaliatory?

No Bill, stay out of it. You know what happens, so just, Ah, heck, go ahead then. 8-} IMHO, neither one of them should have been concerned with what the other was doing. One's auction had no effect on the other's auction. Sell your stuff and let eBay worry about if it's correct or not. How does that saying go?, oh yeah, "CARPE DIEM", right?
