Louis - As my eBay auctions clearly state, all the content on those
CDs and DVDs are freely available on the internet should anyone wish
to spend their time finding and downloading it. All of the software
has been released to the public domain or abandoned. What I am
selling is a service - my time to download & complie the information
on the disks - and the materials - the disks and labels and disk
envelopes and mailers. As my attorneys have assured me, a nominal fee
to cover my time & expense is all purely legal and legit. And if any
author contacts me to remove their work from a disk, I will gladly
comply with their wishes as I am sure all of the websites would, too.
I am doing this more as a service to fellow Apple II hobbyists than as
a business, I can assure you of that.

eBay has reviewed the ads & they pass muster with their legal
beagles. I suspect that their attorneys know the law better than many
of us.

I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out I am
purchasing the originals of a lot of Apple II software because I am a
hobbyist and a collector. I don't need the original disk set I
purchase from you to simply add it to my CD collections - it is, after
all, freely available on the internet as someone here already pointed
out. I purchased the software from you because I wish to add it to my
collection of original software for the Apple IIGS systems I own.

It would have been nice of you to exhibit some common courtesy to
address your concerns with me up front, rather than to simply delay
shipping the materials I purchased from you and to discuss them here
and, had I not been alerted to this strand, behind my back without an
opportunity to respond. And it would have been nice had you been
honest in your email to me explaining why you still have not shipped
my purchase to me. And if you feel this strongly that I am somehow
breaking the law, why don't YOU report me rather than asking "Anyone
want to report him for violations?"

Your concern was legitimate. I just wish you addressed it with me
first, or at least brought me into the discussion here. For that I am
very disappointed, just as you would be if an eBay customer left you
negative feedback without first giving you an opportunity to address
their concerns & correct the situation... its just common courtesy.
