The ones that Shrevesystems sold were bulk cards dumped back into
boxes with nothing else. Some even bad from the get go. So if it's a
slit piece of tape, and nothing else in the box.. of course, if the
seller took a picture of it then thats not new in the box anyway. But
if the card has a white barcode or white sticker about the size of two
write protect tabs .. that means it's definitely a Shreve Systems one
and you have a somewhat chance of it being bad anyway. So when the
seller says "They didn't test it" ..


FWIW, the Superdrive controller card I bought from Shreve ystems back in 2000 or so came complete with disk, manual and packing slip NIB. Works great, good thing I got one when I did (along with my $30 "flaky" TWGS with 32k cache, $50 RamFAST card, and $40 VOC).
