Well, yeah- some folks still call the Liron card a 3.5" card - so ..
if it's new in box, and the box says "Apple 3.5" Controller Card" and
is a brown box ...  unless there is only ONE piece of tape on it, and
that ONE piece of tape is not cut, not taped over, etc. One SINGLE
piece of tape, it's not 'NEW' in box.

The ones that Shrevesystems sold were bulk cards dumped back into
boxes with nothing else. Some even bad from the get go. So if it's a
slit piece of tape, and nothing else in the box.. of course, if the
seller took a picture of it then thats not new in the box anyway. But
if the card has a white barcode or white sticker about the size of two
write protect tabs .. that means it's definitely a Shreve Systems one
and you have a somewhat chance of it being bad anyway. So when the
seller says "They didn't test it" ..

OTOH, if it's a white box it's a Liron card. Which of course means
White .. UniDisk 3.5" only. Or ProAPP/SmartPort hard drive.

The FDHD card works with the Platinum drives as well. But NOT the
beige drive.

The UDC card works with the platinum ones and the beige ones, but not
the UniDisk. Bad Things happen if that gets plugged in. Don't Do It.
