Your not factoring that the magazine is worth less now as opposed to 1989... Otherwise your logic would mean most vintage computers on ebay would be worth buying simply because they cost less than the original MSRP.

I am personally appreciative that the magazines are scanned and available, but lets not pretend your getting something that has any sort of marketability beyond a very small group of grateful enthusiasts.



It's less than I paid in annual subscriptions for my collection, which only
started in late 1985 (picked up a few older issues a while back).  Factor in
that $99 in 2009 is worth a fair bit less than $99 in 1989 and it starts to
look like an even better deal.
