ProTERM requires an enhanced IIe, at minimum...might also require 128K, or
maybe it just requires an 80-column card.  In any case, it's not going to
run on a II+, no matter how well-equipped (lack of Open-Apple and
Solid-Apple keys would make getting around somewhat difficult, for
instance).
