Luckily a most generous Apple enthusiast burned the PROMs I wanted to
experiment with. I do have an old Advin U84 (on extended international
loan from Henry Courbis!) which can read the PROMs, but not burn the
available ones - since as you know that's a tricky area.

At one point I thought I'd hit the jackpot with a shop in Akihabara
selling MMI 6309s, but it turned out they were already cooked.
Bipolars are like hens teeth.
