It is possible though. Apex System builder, an 8 bit application can display GS fonts on Hires, DHires and the GS screens. I have little experience with the GS screens though. One might get a bit more info looking at the font editor which should be in the Apex archive. Sadly, Microgram didn't release the source to Apex as well.
