AFAIR, some manual stated that earlier Videx cards work in all slots, but later models can work only in slot 3.
I think the physical slot#3 takes precedence over the built-in C300 ROM space, but I'm not sure if the built-in C300 ROM space is in any way needed for access to AUX RAM by any OS or application.
