Matt,

Your system is a very nice example of a well setup //e, but I'm not
convinced it fits in the "poor man" category though.  :-)

IMHO, bang for buck wise, the IIgs is a good compromise as a "poor
mans" accelerated //e. It will run almost everything a //e can, and in
most cases you won't notice the difference. As David mentioned above,
you also get 800K drives, a configurable RAM drive, not to mention
built-in serial ports and floppy controller (allowing the use of extra
cards if needed). Having a IIgs also means that you can dabble with GS/
OS and 16 bit apps if you ever have the desire.

However, if you want the 100% //e experience then you'll probably need/
want to stick with a //e.

That's my 2c worth anyhow.
