Well, it's set up nicely for my needs, but everyone is different.

I actually find the 800k drives superfluous for 8 bit usage. I do use
a superdrive card for data transfers on occasion, but I couldn't any
longer use any Apple II without some form of fast mass storage.

But you're right - IIe go faster bits are no longer easily obtainable,
so that makes the IIgs a worthy substitute.
