The comments for it are that it powers up with alot of '?'s on screen (it's item number 140264974487) and is being sold asfaulty.*Does* this indicate a fault, or is it a case of "needs to hold a key downduring boot"? Many thanks. JimJim, this could be a normal startup with the non-autoatart ROM. In this case, you would Control-Reset to get into the BASIC ROM,Nitpick: the non-autostart ROM actually drops you into the monitor (asterisk prompt) on a CTRL-RESET. So it's CTRL-B RETURN for BASIC or 6 CTRL-P RETURN for booting from Slot #6.If the auto-reset timer circuit is missing, even with the autostart monitor you will have to press CTRL-RESET to get anywhere.
Yes, you are correct. I apologize for answering his question, which was, "is there a problem with the computer on auction?". I don't use the II enough to remember all that stuff. ;-) I'm a IIe/IIgs guy usually.
