The only problem with designing a new VGA card for the Apple II line
is you can NOT please everyone. You have to remember that we are
taking 30 year technology and most people want HDTV or Blueray quality
out of it.
The answers are out there, it is just a matter of realistic optimism.

I think that the only required result is that the picture look as
good as an analog RGB monitor on a IIgs or as good as a digital
RGB monitor on a //e.

Extra points for providing a mode that emulates an analog NTSC monitor.
