It's an over complicated thing, the Chinook/Sequential drive is also
horribly susceptible to dropping dead. Just like that.
IE, if opening and/or screwing with it in any way is not absolutely
necessary, then leave it the heck alone.
Chinook and Sequential used to market that these drives were
"upgradable" to SCSI for your newer Apple computer purchases. They
used to charge you to take out the PCB an put in a ribbon cable. ..
and of course they retain the PCB.
..and put it in another drive to sell to someone else.
Kinda funny, looking back on it.
The quickest source for a DB-19 cable is nab one from an Apple drive.
You need a male to female cable, you could unsolder the cable from
inside if it's not the push on kind, some were, some were not. Then
use a floppy drive cable to start with as a replacement.
