    I formatted a HD disk in an 800K drive connected to the disk port
of a IIgs using 1.0.2 and was surprised to see that it worked.  The
Apple System Utility even validated it without errors.  But the
prompts were garbage so I'm guessing that the BASIC string output
routine is used to display the prompts.

    I then took the disk to a Mac to see if the disk could be read.
My results deserve starting a new thread, IMHO.  So, I will...
