We had a lot of discussion on this at KFest and came away with the following:

10MHz is possible under ideal situations, 8MHz is usually the easiest to
achieve without replacing cache and other mods. And, some //c Plus computers
won't stabilize over 4MHz no matter what oscillator or cache mods are
attempted. So, OC'ing can be hit or miss... some study is required to determine
why some machines won't chip up, even with cache upgrades.

It's safe to say the stock cache isn't supposed to be fast enough for 10MHz.

James Littlejohn and Henry Courbis (gse-reactive.com> are in the process of
finalizing a convenient 8MHz upgrade for the //c Plus - as mentioned in this
post, http://www.a2central.com/portal/?p=1366

Sorry, didn't mean that to be a blatant plug, but they are working on a way to
make the "Little Speedup" very OC friendly.
