I've had some of these keyswitches just fall apart, but have never got them back together and working again. I must admit that I haven't tried very hard, though. Have you been able to clean them out, put them back together and get them working again?

I've found that if hit the right way with a small hammer, they crack
open nicely.   The design while impervious to slamming on the keys
with great force, is strange and would, I think, be very difficult to
clean without opening up since the contacts themselves don't move.
Later keyboards that don't use these keyswitches are either easier to
service, or respond better to spray contact cleaners.
