I'm planning on doing this mod too, however, I haven't yet built up
the required motivation level for all the desoldering. I have
desoldered a grand total of one DRAM so far...only 31 to go! Oh, and
then the CAPS too....oh dear!   :-)

I found the schematic a little hard to follow at times, but I *am* a
software guy after all.

Let us know how you get on - it may even increase my motivation a tad.

BTW, if you haven't guessed yet - I *hate* desoldering.
