I have never hear of that, but there's a lot of software out there!

That's a big annoyance. Hopefully I'll be getting a CFFA in the nearish
future so I'll be able to have a stab at it.

It's Windows :) You probably have perfect raw device access in linux, but it
doesn't translate over too well via WINE to the Win32 app.

Agreed. It is an awfully big thing to do to achieve something simple.
