My only sugestion would be the orientation of the interface. If someone was
planning to leave a USB drive in the card all the time, it wouldn't fit.

Are you expecting to use an extension cable with it, so that it can be used
externally?

I would expect it just a prototype and the current orientation is to allow the ease of insertion and removal for testing.

For a production run there are a few issues to consider when it comes to the type and oriention of the USB conenctor. Same type of issues I had to think through for Uthernet.

Using a usb mini-a connector and an extension cable would be one way to go ...
