Orientation was more for convenience with the prototype.

Once the circuit/firmware is complete, there is no need for the VDIP module.
The Vinculum chip is available seperately, and could be incorporated onto 
the
interface card itself.

It will be completely open source, so anyone who wants to build one is 
welcome to.

Perhaps Henry Courbis (GSE Reactive) or Bill Garber (garberstreet) may be
interested in making some PCB's up?? (hint hint).
