Of course, virtue stands in the middle.  Not all TV is lowest-
common-denominator.  Have you see the Planet Earth episodes?
Absolutely stunning in HD.

And "tivoing" classic movies from TCM is great fun--and leaves
plenty of time for programming Apples.  ;-)
