Re: Serial Serial Card on IIGS for ADTPro?

Absolutely. You just need to make sure you set the slot with the SSC
to "Your card" in the control panel. You then tell ADTPro which slot
to talk to in the config menu ('G' from the main menu).
Cool, thanks for your replies everyone!
You won't be able to go straight from metal to ProDOS and 3.5" disks
in one shot, at least not with the tools in the package. You'd still
need to go through the intermediate step of DOS 3.3 which we can
bootstrap over the wire to ProDOS which we can push across as a disk
image using DOS-based ADT. The details are on the bootstrapping
page:http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/bootstrap.html.
Noted, thanks! My web browser already has that page open! ;)
I've done a DOS3.3 on a IIe before, but my IIGS has 3.5" drives, so it's
back to square one... hopefully my 15+ year/old floppies (Amiga blank
left-overs) can still be reliably written...
IIGS is a nice machine - I've never used one before today except to power it
up briefly when I received it last year. Did some research this morning
online and have discovered it's a 1.25MB ROM3 machine, so System 5.04 is the
go. I've also got my fingers crossed that Lode Runner will run the IIGS...
FWIW I also ordered a modem cable this morning locally...
