Alternatively, couldn't you have a separate SetTimeout() method that
is called prior to a read and keep just the one read method?

Sir, I think you are selling yourself short there. If nobody else is
using it, then its their loss. There is no other tool around that can
transfer 3.5" disk images (or almost any other image for that matter)
as quickly. I know, coz I've been using it pretty much since you 1st
released it.  :-)

A Side Note:  I told a friend about ADTPro, and he was having problems
transferring images from his IIgs as well. He switched to a different
Wintel machine and all was fine. I haven't confirmed it, but I am now
suspecting that he was having the same problem as myself. It seems
likely that some Wintel motherboard chipsets are effected and some
aren't.
