I have several Apple II items available free for pickup in the St.
Louis, MO suburbs (St. Charles county). I am moving back to Texas.
( !! ) ;-)
If any of these items are useful to you, I would like for these
items to go to a good, knowledgable, Apple II home (no novices, no
help given). It is okay for you to resell them. I would prefer, and
will give priority to, a member of the Apple II Mail Group, but anyone
is welcome, so they do not go to charity or recycling or worse.
Not all of this is in 100% condition. Some of it was given to me by
other dedicated Apple II users, so I don't know the condition.
I would like to have them picked up on a Saturday or Sunday on or
before March 18 in St. Charles County, Missouri, or, if you prefer, I
will meet you at Harrah's in Maryland Heights.
You can take any or all of these items free of charge..
- Three Apple ImageWriters: One IW I and two IW2's. All three are in
original boxes. No cables, no books.
- Two HP DeskJet 500's - The best printer for Apple II's for use with
AppleWorks 4.0 to 5.1 - the driver is built right into the AppleWorks
software (which you must already own; I do not furnish this); you can
select the DeskJet 500 from the Printer installation menu in
AppleWorks. One printer is a DJ 500C (color), but I am not sure which
one it is (hey...take both!). One in original box, one not. No
cables, no books.
- One dead Apple IIc CPU, original Rom 0. Light comes on, but built-
in disk drive doesn't spin up. No power supply, no monitor.
- Two Apple IIGS RGB monitors, which originally came with the Apple
IIGS computer system Rom 03. The monitors work, but they have the
black stripe across the top of the display. The display works fine and
the color is good, but the top line of the display may be a little
squished. No cables, no books. Not responsible for what happens if you
tinker with these.
Now, this may sound like a bunch of Cr*p, but it may be useful to
someone. Yes, this probably should go in the marketplace, but I never
read that board.
