That bit's right.

It works with other things so it's fine.

Made that mistake a few times while not paying attention.

That's quite probable. I also put ADT gs on from ADT2005 I think it was.
It made ADT22 on the PC twitch briefly on a request. But I feel as though
that is version incompatibility.
I then tried ADT2005 for Windows, under WINE. Serial and network apps
usually work fine under it.
They could talk. Listing the directory worked most of the time.
No matter how hard I tried I couldn't successfully receive an image. I'd get
errors like wrong size, bad CRC, not a valid image etc.
And because ADT on the apple side didn't support sending an image I couldn't
test that.

I tried ADTPro 2006. Couldn't use it as always with Java apps. Just spat out
a screenfull of errors in the as soon as I tried to run it.

I've never tried using A2 Game Server. Mostly because of the Java on the PC
end of things.
