Apple Computer changes its name

    Although not relevant to the Apple II series these days, I caught
something interested in the news tonight. Apparently, as of today,
Apple Computer is no longer known as "Apple Computer Inc.". 
Steve Jobs has renamed the company to simply: "Apple Inc.".

    Removing "Computers" from the name is to reflect the fact they 
now make other consumer products, but still, it seems kind of weird.
No more weird, I suppose, than the disappearance of the rainbow
colored Apple logo or the Apple II series that started the company.

    Thinking about it, I haven't purchased any new Apple products 
in 19 years now! The last really cool thing they made, to me anyways, 
was the Apple IIgs (I was tempted to get an iPod recently, but ended 
up with a third party MP3 player). :)
