the only other solution i think i tripped over with a buddy once was something called the 'tullin" floptical drive and a ramfast card running it..i think it had utilities with it that also allowed you to use the floptical drive as a 3.5" drive and do HD disks...

never tried it and frankly just remebered it reading this post..but i assume i there are some tullin utills out there for the floptical drive and an apple 2 (ie setup disks) you had a ramfast (maybe other scsi ap2 cards would work)..and a floptical drive (*you see them on ebay)..you could get around the superdrive card
