Re: trying to install and get a pseudo-disk up and running

Looks like the email I've sent from the mirrow domain have disappeared once
again.
This only applies to the BETA board. The current version is not using the
BASIC
selection program.

I'll post it here:

Hi Jamie,

The BASIC image selection program has slot 4 hard coded,
but as it is just a BASIC program, you can modify it if needed.

The important thing to watch is the LED. If everything is OK,
it should light up after a power-up. If it is blinking or OFF,
there is a problem reading the MMC card. Try power cycling.

If the card is in any slot below an actual Disk ][ card, ProDOS
will see a volume if the PD is in ProDOS mode. To select a NIB
image, type PR#4. It should boot to ProDOS and run a BASIC program.

The other 2 reciepients of the beta board reported all 4 images
working properly. Let me know what you are seeing.

I suspect I'm the only person who can.

The main thing to watch is the LED. Is it on after power-up?

My main test platform is also a Platinum 2E as you can see at the picure
on my web site, but I only tested with a superserial card, PseudoDisk and
optionally a real Disk][ controller.

I don't know if the other cards can affect the operation of the board, but
again the LED is all important. If it is not ON, the board failed to read
the
SD card and all bets are off.

Try a couple of power cycles. Try removing temporarily other boards.

If it still fails, the board was probably damaged in transit. Send it back
and
I'll replace it with a production version.
