I just saw someone sell several upgraded Mac 128K to 512K logic
boards by touting them as "prototypes". Give me a break. I used to
make good money back in the mid 80's by upgrading Mac 128K logics to
512 K by socketing new 256K DRAM and adding that little daughterboard
so the logic could address the extra memory. It was a common
aftermarket upgrade.
Another one I did maybe 100 of was to cut a 3" hole in the back of
the 128K-Plus and add a fan to the computer.
Can't believe there are so many suckers out there. But most of all I
blame clueless sellers that hype up their crap as "prototypes" and
RARE, etc...
