Hi, I have a gs which has a smoked ADB port.
It works fine except that I can not attach a keyboard (well I can but it will not work)

What would be a systematical way to figure out if I can repair it ?
Or is any issue with the ADB the kiss of death and I can use him for parts now?

First, verify that the ADB socket and its PC board connections are
sound--sometimes it's just a broken connection from flexing.

If that fails, you will probably need to replace the ADB controller
chip--for which the likely source is another (spare?) IIgs board. ;-(

If I can exclude the connector, is there a way to check if the controller is OK or broken?
I have no schematic of the gs, where is the controller located?
