I will try.. lol.. it took some doing to get it to work properly.
Basically I installed the Keyspan driver from the Keyspan website,
installed ADTPro on the OS X side, and xfered the ADTPro dsk using
MacADT then using an ImageWriter II cable (at least I believe that was
it's original purpose, it is a mini din 8 connector on both ends.. for
the IIc you need a mini din 8 to the 5 pin din IIRC.). My first mistake
was setting the serial ports in the Network Preference Pane. This seems
to interfere w/ communications.. so don't set them in Network..when you
open ADTPro on the X side you should see the serial port in the
connection pulldown .. if you open the keyspan utility it will show the
connected port and a number it assigns.. USA###... something to that
effect.. that is what you choose in ADTPro....I put a folder in my
ADTPro folder called xfer to use as the working dir. I tried using the
9600 baud on both sides but that seemed to cause problems (although
I've not tried to change it since I got it working) so I set both sides
to the highest and everything was good... you will have to set the IIc
modem port to the correct baud.. (I can't remember how to do that
offhand ) The key, at least from my experience, is to not let OSX
assign the port. Sorry if this is rambling... hope it was of some
help....perhaps some more experienced folks will hop in and help :)
