How do multi-sided games work? At some point a program will say
"insert side 2" - is there a way to read the keyboard for an obscure
key combination (to enter a menu) in-order to "swap" disks or will this
interfere with a "press any key" scenareo?

There are DIP switches on the board that can select a NIB image. It is
possible to make a switch external, but may not look good.

Any key combination must be programmed on Apple: the interface board doesn't
see the Apple keyboard.

Wow, that sounds like a IIgs enhancment to add rom code to make a menu
option for swapping disks. ;)

Thankx,

Yeah, I would be all over this. Essentially it would completely
internalize the Disk II. If an easily accessible menu for swapping
disks was available, this would become the ultimate killer app for the
II. I would archive everything I have, sell off all of my floppies,
inturn freeing up about 25 cubic feet of closet space and never have to
worry about magnetic degradation again.

Don't worry, there'll be something else to worry about. ;-)
