Yes, I'm reading that thread. However my understanding is that the idea is
to preserve perfect images of protected disks for the emulators rather than
real Apples.

I have designed my board mainly for fun and my own use. In particular to
have
quick access to a lot of CP/M images. I'm not sure other solutions support
the Apple CP/M card. And of course the games that are not "normalized".
Not that I remember when I played a game last time :))
