Hi Miles,
IMHO the easiest (and fastest) method for transferring disk images onto
your *real* IIgs is via ADTPro. This can write 5.25 and 3.5 images (and
almost every other image too).

All you need is an appropriate serial (null-modem) connection between
your Windows box and the IIgs. There is plenty of info on how to use
this utility on the aforementioned site.
