I seem to recall when I got one, that there was a stack of them on the
vendor table. White plain fold together slip top box like what Apple
shipped the 80 col. card, SSC, SCSI card, etc. in. Blue egg crate foam,
the game and a folded and stapled booklet.
The thing was kinda hoaky in both play and assembly.
Could it be made? Sure. Last time I took it apart there was just a
couple ICs if that in the thing, I don't remember if they were sanded
or not. It's just FR4 .062 thick copper clad with the same stuff like
you put on the side of those thin plastic term paper covers with the
pinch on binding, on the 3 edges with a sliced open tube with caps on
both ends. Like a poster tube slid over the top end and silicone goo'ed
in place.
The "FuturePad" is laser printer output on white paper placed under the
clear plastic cover. Probably from the same term paper covers too.
It's pretty basic hoaky. A lot of time assembly and prepping it, hence
it reflected in the cost, but made out of very basic materials.
