The Imagewriter is a serial printer, with a standard DB-25 connector instead
of the 8-pin mini-DIN connector that Apple used on later equipment.

It also weighs a ton, compared to most other dot-matrix printers.  Several
of the internal components are metal castings, instead of sheet-metal
stampings or plastic.  If the OP's printer really is an Imagewriter, it
should weigh more than any Apple II.
