Both Imagewriters have only serial interfaces.
That was the whole point. Apart from the control codes for the printer,
a big reason Mac users were stuck with the Imagewriter (which is a good
printer) rather than something cheaper or already in place, was
that the average printer had a parallel port. You needed a serial to
parallel converter to use a parallel printer with the Mac, and at
that point one might just go to an Imagewriter.
