You said the magic words!  You could check out the project from CVS and
just ignore the client/assembly part if you wanted to test your server
timeout theory.  Comment out all the assembly/package crap in build.xml
and go to it.  Right now, I'm debugging a Linux/OSX problem with the
RXTX library hanging on close(), so that'll be taking my spare cycles
for a little bit.
