I think what needs to be realized is that some upgrades simply will
require mods to the motherboard.   If this digital RGB-> analog VGA
option works out, I seriously doubt it's going to be a "solderless"
solution.. and I personally wouldn't mind unsoldering the 3 DACs at
only 7 pins each to get access to the digital RGB signals...  after the
upgrade, the machine would simply be a permanent vga machine, not an
rgb machine.    Given the choice of monitors either way, this is a
sensical move.

Those who don't want any modding done will have to use the
digital->analog->digital->analog method which plugs into the back.
For those who want to spend a little over $250, the Highway #100 I
reviewed above is really excellent.. you won't be disappointed.
Otherwise, wait to see what we can pull off.
