I'll second the DuoDisk, not only have I never had any problem with it,
but it looks much nicer on top of my IIe.  When I had two UniDisk
drives, putting a monitor on them caused them to tilt a bit which
always worried me.

Speaking of drive speed adjustments, how do you know if you need to do
this?  The reason I ask is that in 20+ years of owning Apple II drives
I've never adjusted the speed or alignment.  They seem to work just
fine, but I've always wondered if they were slowly going to go bad.
Are there symptoms you should look out for?
